Chemtech Roof & Insulation Systems, Inc. was founded in 1981 by John Bradley and Raymond Smith. Chemtech initially specialized in polyurethane foam applications for roofing and insulation.

In 1982, early on in its history, Chemtech saw the versatility and burgeoning market for single-ply membrane roofs. Chemtech became one of the earliest (oldest) Qualified Applicators in our geographical area for the two leading world-wide manufacturers of single ply EPDM Rubber and Thermoplastic Roofing Systems: Carlisle and Firestone. SInce 1981 Chemtech has applied over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of the products of both manufacturers.

Throughout the years, Chemtech has been involved with elastomeric coating systems as applied to rejuvenate metal roofs, single-ply rubber and thermoplastic roofs and foam roofs.

Chemtech's primary marketing focus has been in the commercial re-roofing market, with 75% of our work in that area, 15% in new construction and 10% in flat residential.

Moving forward into the twenty-first century, we perceive a growing demand for metal roofs, green roofs and solar roofs. To address these new markets, Chemtech has established an alliance with an expert team of metal roof installers and offers Green or Garden Roof installations by Firestone and Carlisle. Solar roofing is being addressed through a partnership with Sustainable Energy Systems, LLC out or Frederick, MD - operated by Zayn Bradley, son of Chemtech's founder, John Bradley.
